It's about that time....again

So last weekend Andrew and I decided to go look at apartments. Our lease is up May 26th, so we originally planned on extending our lease for one month and moving after the wedding. But when we went looking on Sunday, we ended up finding exactly what we wanted. The only catch was, we have to move by May 10th...as in two weeks from now! So we decided to go for it and now we are moving May 9th & 10th. We found an awesome aparment in Irvine (about 5 minutes from our apartment now). It's 2 bedroom, 2 bath, an upstairs corner unit with no one above us. There is a fireplace, vaulted cielings, and granite countertops in the kitchen...and best of all, it's PET FRIENDLY! Woo hoo! We even have a little yard area right behind us for the future puppy to run around. We are super excited about moving, but we know its also going to be super stressful. I am going to be in Vegas for my bachelorette party the week before the move and Andrew is going to be in Havasu the week after the move. So needless to say, we are going to be living out of boxes for the next month until we get back from our honeymoon and have time to decorate and unpack! I can't wait to open all our cool gifts and get settled into our first home as a married couple! If anyone feels like moving some boxes or helping me organize, give me a call! I could use the company.

My Bridal Shower

This past Saturday I had my bridal shower at my parent's house. The weather couldn't have been more perfect! I had been looking forward to my shower for quite some time...I couldn't wait to see what my mom and Erin had come up with. When I got there, I was more than impressed...everything was black and pink! Some of the little details included: pink and black balloons, pink and black M&M favors, damask plates & napkins, little "k&a" square cut outs all over the tables, and hot pink votives! The food was also amazing! My mom even made my favorite...chocolate covered strawberries! It was so fun to see all my friends and family together in one place. They did a great job making me feel so special and showering me with love and tons of great gifts! I'm sad its over already, but excited because it means I'm that much closer to the big day! Thanks again to everyone who was able to make it. A special thanks to Jana for making the awesome invitations, my mom for opening up her house to everyone and decorating/preparing all the food, and of course to my maid of honor Erin, for organizing the whole thing and making it all come together! It was perfect! I love you girls. Now time for some pictures...

I got an email last week from my awesome florist, Aly Loge - The Vines Leaf, about a bride who was looking for a wedding coordinator. Aly was gracious enough to think of me and referred the bride to me. I got to meet Jen and her future mother-in-law, Mardel, at Mardel's house in San Juan Capistrano - which is the future site of Jen and RJ's backyard wedding. The house is absolutely stunning! The second I walked in, I could see an amazing pool in the backyard surrounded by beautiful landscape. I could just picture the wedding taking place...floating candles in the pool, strung white lights, and a poolside dance floor. I got to talk with Jen about her ideas for her wedding. She is so laid back and easygoing and I can tell she is going to be a wonderful bride. I am looking forward to coordinating their October 3rd wedding...Thanks for trusting my with your big day. I can't wait! Thanks again Aly for the referral.

Yikes! 2 months and 28 days left til the big day! Why does it suddenly sound so much closer? Not that I'm freaking out or anything... I must say that I am pretty "on top of it" as far as wedding to-do's. I find myself constantly flipping through my wedding binder, looking at my to-do lists (yes there is more than one) and wondering what else I can check off. However, some things just can't be done early no matter how much I want to get them done.

Until then, I am sooo excited about the upcoming festivities. My bridal shower is going to be awesome and more importantly...my bachelorette party will be amazing! I can't wait to spend a weekend in Vegas with my favorite girls (minus a few who can't make it - you know who you are). We are going to have a blast! I know these next few months will fly by. Hopefully I will be able to soak it in as much as possible! One of these days, I am going to wake up and say "Holy crap! I'm a wife!" Hopefully, Andrew will have already left for work by then. :)

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson

This weekend, one of my best friends, Gigi, got married to the man of her dreams, Josh Johnson. I was lucky enough to be one of the bridesmaids in their wedding and stand next to Gigi as she said her "I Do's". We had a blast getting ready that morning at Gigi's parents house. Then we all got in a limo to head to the Muckenthaler mansion. When we got there, we all put our dresses on and then helped the bride get her dress on...all 50 pounds of it... :) Gigi looked so beautiful!

Their wedding was absolutely beautiful! I started crying as soon as Gigi's "walk down the aisle" song started...she looked so happy! The ceremony was so special since Josh's dad was the officiant. I think all the bridesmaids were crying! After the ceremony, it was time to party! We were all starving since we hadn't had much to eat. The dinner was so yummy! I think Alyssa and I cleared our plate in 5 minutes! After dinner, I got to hang out with my fiance and some of my closest friends. We had a lot of fun dancing and watching Josh and Gigi dance together as husband and wife. All day, I made it a point to focus on Gigi's wedding day without thinking too much about my upcoming wedding...so I could make sure I remembered every minute of it. However, when it came time for the last dance, I danced with Andrew and I couldn't help but think about how excited I am for our big day!

Congratulations you two...I can't begin to tell you how happy I am for you both and the life you have ahead of you. I know God will continue to bless your relationship together as Husband and Wife. I look forward to spending a lot of "married couple" times with the two of you in the future. Your wedding was beautiful...Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day. I love you both!

A beautiful day...

I took today off work and hung out with one of my favorite girls...and my two favorite little guys. Kristy, Braylon, Jaxten and I went to Dana Point to go to the beach. When we got there, we were the only ones there! We tried to lay out and relax but of course all Braylon really wanted to do was walk down by the water and throw rocks. He had so much fun splashing around in the low tide. Jaxten was pretty happy just chillin in his seat on the sand. The weather couldnt have been more perfect! We had so much fun just hanging out with the little guys.

After about two hours at the beach, we took the boys, plus McAllister (another little boy Kristy was babysitting) to the spectrum and got lunch. Kristy pushed her two boys in a double stroller and I pushed Mac in a stroller. I felt like such a mom, it was so fun! Until of course we tried to do a little shopping at one of the stores. We barely got Kristy's double stroller through the single open door and once we got in, Jaxten wasn't having it. It was a pretty funny site! The two of us trying to browse the clothes while Jaxten was crying and Braylon was running around the store. That lasted about 3 minutes...and we realized we would have to do shopping another day.We took them to the water area by Target and let Mac and Braylon play in the water. To our surprise, Braylon was scared of the water and would rather crawl across the bench...that is until he ended up in the bushes cause he rolled of the bench! Poor little guy... Mac however did get the courage to go in the water and Kristy and I were cracking up! He got soaked, so of course I had to change his clothes and wet diaper!

We finally arrived home at 4:00 and we were pretty pooped! I now know what Kristy goes through on a daily basis. Well, maybe 1/5 of what she goes through. Youre a brave women Kris and I definitely admire your strength. Thanks for entertaining me on my day off. Your sweet little boys and your marvelous mommy skills make me look forward to having kids of my own someday!

The Bachelor

Has anyone been watching the bachelor? My goodness! What an awesome season! I was a little unsure at first what I thought about some of these girls...especially since there were some pretty crazy ones. For example, Megan...what the heck was he thinking keeping that mean girl around as long as he did? I want to call her a Bitch but then I would be stooping to her level. I can't believe how mean she was to all the girls in all her interviews...Thank god he finally got some sense and booted her butt off the show! Then there's crazy Shannon. I think that girl knew more about Jason than Jason knew about himself! Can we say "stalker"? He must have decided he didn't care how good ratings were with these two nuts on the show and decided they would never be good enough for Ty (his son - for those of you who don't watch the show).

Now let's talk about last nights episode..Such a tearjerker! I mean as much as I think Stephanie needs to stay away from the Mac counter and Claire's jewelry store, she was such a sweetheart! I wanted so bad for another guy to come cruising onto the show that was about 10 years older than Jason and sweep her, and her adorable daughter, off their feet! It was so sad watching them say goodbye to her. She needed to be cut, but did it have to be that dramatic? At least now, we are down to 4 good girls. Now we have to sit on the edge of our seats until Deanna (girl who rejected Jason last season) comes back with a vengence! I can hardly stand the anticipation! Until then...go Melissa!!!

By the way, everyone can't stop telling me how much they think Andrew, my fiance, looks like Jason the bachelor. I guess that's why I was so hooked last season! And just for the record...Andrew is way hotter!

Christmas Break

January 12th??? Are you kidding me? Is anyone else amazed that Christmas was already 3 weeks ago and we are half-way through January??? I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. The holidays were a lot of fun! Andrew's brother (Jackie) and sister-in-law (Monica) came to visit for Christmas. They are adopting a little 8-year old boy named Malachi so they brought him along to meet the family (along with their dog, Skully). We had so much fun hanging out with them. We spent a lot of time at Andrew's dad's house...just hanging out with everyone. It was fun to watch Malachi interact with the family...he fits right in! We all went to Disneyland one day and had a great time going on all the rides with the kids. We convinced Landon to ride Space Mountain and guess who he picked to ride with? That's right...his Auntie Kym! I was so proud of him! Even though it was crowded (sold out at 2 pm), we managed to go on quite a few rides. Malachi had a blast!

Christmas day was spent at my family's house for lunch and then at Andrew's Aunt's house for dinner. For New Years, we went over to Jeff and Erin's house and hung out with their family as well as Jackie, Monica and Malachi. The kids played Wii and the grown-ups sat around the table drinking wine and chatting. At midnight, we all went out side to watch their neighbor set-off fireworks! It was a change from the usual "ball drop" which we missed for the first time since I can remember. We had a fun time just hanging out with family. Jackie, Monica and Malachi went back to Portland on the 4th. We miss them already and look forward to the wedding when we will all be together again.

All in all, we enjoyed our time off work and the chance to wake-up without an alarm clock! We feel blessed to have had such a happy and healthy 2008 and we can't wait for all the excitement coming up in 2009. (In case anyone forgot...we are getting married!! lol) Hopefully you all had a wonderful Holiday Break as well. Above are some of the pictures taken over the break.

Ugly Sweater Party

These are pictures from last night's ugly sweater party at Blake & Casey's house. I went to a bunch of places and couldn't find a sweater so I found this pink, red & gold shirt at Target. I found Andrew's sweater in the women's section of Kohl's...funny thing is...another guy was rockin the same sweater!!! It was awesome! We had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone and eating a big Christmas style dinner that the girls cooked. We didnt eat until 11:00 pm but it was worth the wait!

Also, Blake and Casey just got a new golden retriever puppy that is 10 weeks old. They named him Jackson and he is the cutest thing! He is going to be massive... look at those paws! Thanks for a great party guys...Next year I promise to find an uglier sweater!

Amber's new Coach Purse

My company had its annual Christmas Party this weekend at Morton's Steakhouse. We sat at a table with Jana and Brian, Angelica and Josh, and Clint and Christie. We had a great time eating good food and of course having some good drinks. When it came time to do the gifts, Andrew and I had our eye on a 32'' flat screen tv for our bedroom. However, I got called right after Claudia to pick a gift and Claudia snagged the tv - go figure! Since I wasn't about to steal it from her, I grabbed the 22'' flat screen instead. But it worked out good becuase it fits perfectly in our room! I can't complain when its free! After the party, we headed over to 3Thirty3 for some drinks with some of my coworkers/friends. We felt a little weird since we were so dressed up but we had a good time. I can't believe another year has come and gone at Cresa. Hopefully, next year will be even better!

On a side note - I had such a hard time this year finding a good dress to wear for the party - I must have went to 10 different stores before I picked out a black strapless dress - weird for me to pick out something black and strapless :) However, I went shopping the following weekend with my cousin and came across this adorable, funky little dress from Forever21 - it was so not me - which is what I l loved about it! So I took the other dress back and went with the funky one! I am so glad I did - I got so many compliments on it! Now I just have to find somewhere to wear it again! New Year's party anyone??

Girls Night

On Friday night, I had a bunch of girls over to get together for the holidays. We decided to skip on the gifts this year and just spend time together hanging out. Each girl brought some yummy food or wine to the party...you should have seen the results. My table was covered with crackers and cheese, cakies (heaven on a plate), wine, sparkling cider, spinach dip, brownies, veggies, salad and more! Kristy brought over her two little boys, Braylon (1 1/2) and Jaxten (3 months). They are the sweetest boys. We had so much fun playing with them. Braylon had a blast trying to crawl on the coffee table. And he was obsessed with the red chair...Who know that thing would serve a purpose some day???

Later in the evening, we decided to watch Sex in the City since its such a good chick flick. To top it off, Nicole made Carmel popcorn..as if we hadn't had enough crap already! Helloooo...I have to fit in a wedding dress in 5 months and 28 days! But hey, who's counting! :) It was a fun night of hanging out with my favorite girls. Between weddings and babies, we are getting busier and busier. It's nice to spend time like that once in a while. We should sooo do it more often. Maybe next time with a little less calories!

Yesterday, I received the photos back from Kelsey and Colby's October 17th wedding. They got married in Bakersfield at the RiverLakes Ranch Golf Course. Their wedding was so much fun! I drove up the night before to run the rehearsal and got to be part of the rehearsal dinner which was awesome! I got to meet both of their sweet families and got to know the bridal party a little bit better. After dinner, all the girls went back to Candace's house (one of the bridesmaids) and we has a giant sleepover. We sat in the hot tub talking girl talk and about how excited we all were for the next day. We didn't go to bed that night until 1am! Luckily for the bride, she didn't have to get up until 10 :) The day of the wedding, I got to watch all the girls prepare and get their make-up and hair done by the lovely and very talented Lorena Washington. When it was time to go, I headed over to the site to start setting up. The staff at RiverLakes was very helpful and even helped me with the finishing touches. Kelsey was such an organized bride. She had every last detail planned and everything turned out perfect! Their photographer was Jennifer Culpepper with Artisan Photography. She was so sweet and I love the way the pictures turned out! I didn't get to see much of the ceremony since I was setting up the reception site, but I did get to see them walk down the aisle as a married couple...and I have never seen Kelsey with a bigger smile on her face! She was so happy to finally be Mrs. Rozell. All in all, the wedding was a blast and it was so fun to watch such a wonderful couple celebrate their marriage. I know I have said this before, but thanks again to the both of you for allowing me to be there to celebrate with you. And thanks for making me feel like part of the wedding party...I was honored! I wish you both nothing but the best in life...I know you will live happily ever after. Love you both...

Last night I was officially booked by my friend Robbie Rathburn and his fiance Amy. They are getting married on July 10th, 2009 at Pacific Hills Banquet & Catering in Laguna Hills. I met Robbie about 2 years ago on my co-ed soccer team. We also went to high school together. They are such a sweet couple and I am so looking forward to their wedding. Last night I booked another wedding for next year. I am so excited to help my friends Ashley Carroll and Bryan Hubbard (who I've known since 4th grade) plan their wedding. Their date is set for October 10, 2009 and they chose the amazing Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course to have their ceremony and reception. We have had an ABC event there and it was awesome. I can't wait to start planning with Ashley. We have already talked about some of her details and we have a lot in common with our wedding ideas! Thanks to both of you for allowing me to be a part of your big day! I am looking forward to it...Let the planning begin!

I have been wanting to put something on our wall in our living room because it has been bare since we moved in. I got a neat collage frame set for my birthday from my mom and dad and I decided that would be a perfect thing to put up. So last night, I got a bunch of our engagement pictures developed and arranged them in the collage. When Andrew got home from work, he helped me hang it up. It turned out really cute! It's nice to finally have something to look at instead of a huge blank white wall. Even if its 15 different pics of our faces!

Surprise 50th Birthday Party

On Saturday night, one of my best friends, Kristen, threw a surprise 50th birthday party for her mom and dad. Our families are super close and go way back to the 4th grade where we first met. It was so neat to see how surprised her parents were when the garage opened and 75 of their closest friends and family had gathered to celebrate. The party was awesome! Kristen did such an amazing job planning everything. She had cocktail tables all throughout the backyard, hanging lanterns, and balloons everywhere. In the garage, there was a jukebox, disco ball and strobe lights. The "Taco Man" came and prepared fresh tacos for everyone. There was also a margarita machine which was closely monitored all night (mainly by my fiance and Morgan) to make sure there was plenty of tequila flowing! Everyone had a great time! We all ended up in the garage dancing the night away - even my dad was dancing! These are just a few of hundreds of pictures that were taken that night. Great party Kristen! Feeling better

So for the last 2 weeks, I have been really sick. I have had a bacterial infection in my throat which caused me to have a nasty cough as well as a sinus infection which has made my nose stuff up. So I have pretty much been miserable. Of course, I continued to work, play soccer, and stretch myself to the limit. Finally, I gave in and took some time off work to rest. Yesterday, I spent the day at home. Since Andrew had the day off, he kept me company and took care of me. When I woke up from my nap, he had lunch ready for me. He had picked up sandwiches and chicken noodle soup. He even had a a diet coke for me. :) Does he know me or what? He cuddled with me on the couch and made sure I had everything I needed before taking off for a 5:30 work meeting in Yorba Linda. Thanks for taking such good care of me babe. You are going to make an amazing husband! I love you...

P.S. I'm finally feeling better! Thank god for DayQuil, Chloreseptic and Antibiotics!

Weekend of Weddings

I'm off to Bakersfield to coordinate Kelsey and Colby's wedding. I have been looking forward to this day for what seems like forever but I can't believe it's already here! I have been working with Kelsey on her wedding plans since her January 2007 engagement. Now I finally get to be part of their special day on Friday. I will leaving for Bakersfield in a little while to run the rehearsal tonight. They even invited me to join them at their rehearsal dinner which should be a lot of fun! I am sure I will have plenty of awesome pictures to post when I return. Oh yeah...and after I arrive at home around 2 am Saturday morning, I will be going to another co-worker of mines wedding in Newport Beach at 11am.... 9 hours later! This will be a crazy but exciting weekend. See you all when I get back! Have a good weekend.

Last Thursday, Andrew and I took our engagement pictures in downtown Laguna Beach. I drove myself crazy over the past month trying to figure out what we would wear. In the end, our outfits turned out really cute and I absolutely LOVE my new red patent leather shoes! Kristen did my hair for me (since I stink at doing my own) and it turned out great! I was so looking forward to this session with our amazing photographer Trista Lerit. If anyone is looking for a wedding or family photographer, I highly recommend her! Our pictures turned out really cute. As you can tell, I stink at making a serious face! I kept laughing! Andrew, however, has the serious face nailed! He looks so cute when hes not smiling. :) I can't wait to see the rest of the pics in a couple of weeks. In the mean time, here a few of her favorites. Thanks again Trista - we love you!

Meghan + JP = Most Adorable Couple

On August 23rd, I was given the privledge of coordinating Meghan and JP Santone's wedding. The word beautiful doesn't do their wedding justice. They are the most adorable couple and I had so much fun working with them. Meghan and I first met back in April through a mutual friend of ours. We had our first meeting at Starbucks where I also got to meet her beautiful sister Molly. We talked about all her ideas for her wedding and I was amazed at her creativity. We met a few more times and each time we got together, we had a blast! Especially the week of her wedding when I got to see how much stuff I was responsible for! When the big day finally arrived, I was so excited to watch everything come together. My good friend Jana assisted me that day and was such a big help! My mom even stopped by for a while to unload some boxes for me and help with the set-up. We did a lot of running around, but it was all worth it in the end to see the smile on her family's face when they saw the reception site for the first time!

Their photographer was Jason Ward with Garrett Photography. He did an amazing job and was so easy to work with. Their music was provided by Gary Davis, who did an awesome job keeping the guests on the dance floor. At one point, Meghan's dad ended up dancing on a chair! The yummy cake was made by Heidelberg Pastry Shop which is a personal favorite of mine. Their videographer was Brandon Cammel with OC Film Pro. The funny thing was, I knew Brandon when he was 10 years old. I can't wait to see the wedding video. Everything ran so smoothly that day and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. I am so grateful that I was introduced to Meghan and JP. I know Meghan and I will continue to be good friends. Congratulations again you two...Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day. I couldn't be happier for the both of you.

Bachelorette Party

This weekend I went down to San Diego to the W Hotel where we helped celebrate a co-worker of mine's Bachelorette Party. Liz is getting married in 3 weeks! We had dinner at Rice, a restaurant inside the hotel. The food was really good and the inside of the restaurant was really neat. We got neat little goodie bags from the fabulous maid of honor (and good friend of mine) Amber. The manager even brought all the girls a "Happy Ending" shot for us to take. We had some fun with those...and the little straws that Amber provided us. Unfortunately, we didn't make it out to all the bars/clubs with the rest of the girls, but we did have fun while we were there. I can't wait for my bachelorette party in Vegas! Only 8 months to go til my wedding!

Little Five Points

Centennial Olympic Park

Last weekend I flew to Georgia to visit Sara. I got there Wednesday night around 12:30am. We had so much fun hanging out together. On Thursday, we took a walk through her Grandma's neighborhood and I got to see all the beautiful houses. Her Aunt lives right across the street so we had a bbq with them one night which was a lot of fun. I got to meet her boyfriend Mike, who is an awesome guy. He hung out with us most of the time and kept us laughing. Friday night, we saw a play (Steel Magnolias) in Dalonega, which is a small town about 25 minutes from Sara's house. There was a cute little General Store, a museum, an ice cream parlor and a bunch of little antiques shops. Saturday, we went to the dam where the river and lake meet and it was beautiful! Everything in Georgia is surrounded by trees.We walked through the park and put our feet in the water, which was freezing cold! We ate some great food at places like Taco Mac, Corkscrew Cafe and Waffle House (where our waitress was about 350 pounds and missing teeth!). On my last day there, we went into downtown Atlanta to the Coca-Cola museum. Of course I loved learning about the history of Diet Coke...my favorite thing in the world! We took a bunch of pics and got to try Coke from all around the world. We drove through the city and I got to see Braves stadium, Olympic Centennial Park, and Little Five Points, which is a neat little artsy town. We had so much hanging out together and I was so sad when I had to get on the plane to come back home. I miss her already and I can't wait until she comes out for my wedding in June. Love you Sara...

Today at 4:00pm, I am flying to Atlanta, Georgia to visit one of my best friends (and bridesmaids) Sara. I am so excited to go somewhere new! I talked to Sara today and she got me so excited about all the stuff we have planned to do when I get there. I will post some pics about my trip when I return on Sunday night. The celebration continues

Since I turned the big 25, I had to have a birthday week...instead of just one day. Even though Wednesday was my actual birthday, Friday definitely felt more like my birthday because I got to celebrate with all my friends. We went to dinner at Lucille's...if you haven't been there yet...go ASAP! Their food is awesome and their biscuits are to die for! We had 19 of us at dinner (poor waitress) so it was a lot of fun. I got a cute little princess crown that was made for a 5 year old from my friend Kevin (he added a 2) and a "Another year sexier" pin from my friends Blake and Casey. I also got a bunch of nice gifts, flowers and cards from everyone, which made me feel so loved. Kody decided to buy me a birthday shot of Patron...which of course I had to take becuase all 19 people were looking at me waiting for me to drink it. And of course it took me two drinks to get it down...no surprise there. After dinner, we headed to Strike which is the bowling alley at the District. We had so much fun there. It was most people's first time there and everyone was surprised at how much fun we had. Most of the group ended up bowling...even Kristy who is ready to pop in 3 weeks! I had a blast! It was definitely a great birthday. Thanks again to all my friends who made it out to help me celebrate my 25th! Love you all...

One thing at a time...

So we moved into our apartment about 3 months ago and we are still putting things together. Our bedroom has been driving me crazy becuase we still have nothing on the walls and our carpet has been covered with stuff that we had no storage space for. So we finally cleaned everything out last Friday and we can actually see our floor now!

I have so many ideas for our place but since everything costs money, I have one thing at a time. So about a year ago, I found this idea for shelves on HGTV's website. I was dying to recreate the shelves in my apartment. So I went to Ikea and bought the three shelves for about $15/each (not too bad). Then I went to Michaels, Target and Aaron Brothers for frames and decorative things to put on my shelves. I decided to get all the pictures developed in a sepia tone to match the picture I saw on-line. Even though my shelves look a little different, I think they turned out great. The cool thing is, as the season's change, I can change the look around. I can't wait to decorate them for Christmas!

The next thing I saw while out and about was this little bookshelf at Ikea. I absolutely loved it! So I bought the shelf and the A and Z letters and recreated it in our bedroom. I still need to get some more books to fill the shelf but I think its looks cute. I think they would look so cute in a baby's room too...so when we do have kids, we can move the shelves in the baby's room and put baby books on them.

My Birthday Lunch

Today I went to lunch with all my friends in the office. We went to El Torito Grill which is always amazing! We also had our intern, Kristin, there to celebrate her last day in the office before she goes back to school. I love these pictures, mostly taken by Kevin, who by the way looks like a major pimp out to lunch with 10 girls! Go Kevin! When I got back to the office, Lindsay brought me these beautiful flowers! I can't ask for a better group of co-workers. I wish birthdays would come around more often!

Another Year Older....

So today is my birthday. I'm the big 25. Scary...I know! So I got to the office this morning (first time I have ever been at work/or school on my birthday) and my desk was decorated with birthday signs, streamers and ribbons. It was a great start to my day. Tonight, Andrew and I are going to go to Bandera in Laguna to have dinner. I can't wait to get out of the office...In the mean time, it helps to have the decorations and cards to make me feel special :) Thanks girls...you're the best co-workers a girl could ask for!

Also, I realized that today is 9/3 and its also exactly 9 months and 3 days til my wedding. How wierd is that? Just thought I'd point out that coincidence.

Sonic...at last!!

So about 2 weeks ago, some co-workers and I were talking about how we always see those dang Sonic commercials, but none of know where a Sonic is around here. This frustration actually started about 5 years ago in college when I lived with my two best friends, Erin and Sara, in Santa Barbara. We would always see those commercials (usually late at night after drinking) and get so mad cause we didn't have one close by! So finally, after talking for about 30 minutes about how good their slushies and limeaids looked, we googled the nearest Sonic and to our surprise, we found one about 30 minutes away from our office off the 91 freeway. So needless to say, we all decided that we would take a mini-roadtrip to Sonic on our next Friday lunch break. I even wrote it on the calendar so we wouldn't forget! So Friday the 15th came and Amber, Kevin and I got in car and make the trek to Sonic. When we got there, we were so overwhelmed with the menu! Ok...ok... I was overwhelmed with the menu! It took me about 10 minutes to decide on what I wanted...which is pretty standard when you eat with me. We ordered from a menu outside and then the waitress (yes the waitress) brought us our food and took our money...and she was on roller skates! The food was awesome...but my cherry limeaid was the best! Kevin was stoked on his grape slushie and Amber loved her Cheddar Peppers. The trip took us about an hour and a half...but it was well worth it! Now when I see those commercials I can officially say "I have been there."

Last night I went to my final meeting with Meghan...who is getting married this Saturday afternoon. I can't believe her big day is almost here! We had so much fun talking about all her details and set-up. I was there for 3 hours just chatting away. I also got to meet her mom and dad who are awesome! Her family is going to be so much fun at the wedding. I can't believe how creative her family is. When I got there, her mom and dad were busy tying ribbon to bubbles and putting the finishing touches on the escort cards. They did everything themselves...and when I say everything, I mean everything! They made their own centerpieces, their favors, and even their own guestbook (which is amazing!). Meghan warned me that there was a lot of stuff that I would need to take with me at the rehearsal to bring to the wedding the following day so I could set everything up. So I arranged to borrow my mom's tahoe...but when I got to her house last night, I told her I needed a U-Haul instead! There were boxes and boxes of stuff. I must say though, for how much stuff they had, they were so organized about it! Of course I had to take a picture of the lovely bride with all of her crap! Thanks for making me laugh last night Meghan. I can't wait until Saturday. I know we are going to have a blast!

I had to post this picture cause it's hilarious! Andrew had his usual Sunday basketball game last night in RSM. This is usually the time I get to spend with Kristy and Braylon, hanging in the bleachers. Last night Braylon had the cutest t-shirt on. I totally thought it was JJ's idea but Kristy is the one that bought it for him! I love it. Some of the other basketball players got a huge kick out of it too. The look on the last picture is so funny...he looks so innocent (if he only knew what his shirt said) I can't wait til Braylon can read and we can show him what his mommy made him wear in public! A Different Kind of Vegas

At the top of Mix

This past week, my family and I (and Andrew) went to Las Vegas for a few days. We stayed at the MGM, which is a hotel I haven't stayed at since I was 12. We got there on Tuesday morning around 11am and headed straight to the pool. It was 115 degrees out there so needless to say...it was freaking hot! I could barely lay on the lounge chair for 5 minutes without sweating. So we spent most of the time in the water. It wasn't our typical Vegas trip since my little brother is only 18...so we couldn't go to any clubs/lounges or do much gambling at the tables. It was kinda nice though being in Vegas and just relaxing. Especially since our dinners were paid for...thanks to my Mom and Dad. We did however manage to escape for about an hour to Mix..which is a lounge at the top of The Hotel at Mandalay Bay (our favorite hotel). The view from Mix is absolutely amazing. You can see the entire strip! All in all, it was a relaxing trip. It's always nice to get away from work for a few days. Back to reality now...

Last Night...

Last night was awesome...I got to hang out with Braylon while his mommy and daddy went out to celebrate her birthday. He was so well behaved! Of course I had to bust out the camera and snap some pics of the little guy becuase he is so dang cute! All night, he had a death grip on my cell phone and kept putting it in his mouth and drooling all over it. But hey, whatever keeps him happy! I couldn't believe how easy it was to get him to bed. I laid him in his crib at 9:05 and by 9:10...he was passed out! I'd like to think that it had something to do with how comfortable he is with his Auntie Kym..but I know its because Kristy has him so well trained! Thanks for letting my babysit guys...anytime you want to go out, just give Auntie Kym a call! :)

Tonight I get to babysit this adorable little boy! I love hanging out with Kristy and Braylon...but tonight I get to hang out with the little monkey all by myself! Today is Kristy's birthday and she and her family are going out to dinner and to an Improv show. So I get the privledge of watching Braylon all night. Gigi and Josh....Engaged!

This past Saturday, a very close friend of mine (and one of my bridesmaids) got engaged! Josh proposed to Gigi on Saturday night around 7:45 in Laguna Beach. We all surprised her by gathering at her parents house where we all greeted them when they walked in the door. It was a really neat moment to watch her walk in and be so surprised! I totally got tears in my eyes...I think because (1) I was really happy for them and (2) it totally took me back to 3 months ago when I walked through the door of my parents house when Andrew proposed. It was awesome watching the two of them together and knowing how happy she was. It was hard to keep a secret all week at work but we pulled it off. We had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone and hearing the story of how he proposed and got down on not one...but TWO knees! Secretly, their good friend Jim was at the beach snapping pictures of the whole thing! I love that last picture of me looking at Gigi's ring...her face is awesome! I can't wait until their wedding. I know its going to be awesome! Hopefully they will allow me to help them plan! Love you guys...xoxo

4th of July

This 4th of July was very laid back for us. We started out the morning at 10th St beach in Laguna. The beach was awesome, as usual, and the water was perfect. Then we headed back to our friend Eric's parents house where we hung out at their pool. His parents were awesome and bbq'ed for us and served us drinks by the pool. It was a lot of fun lounging in the pool with the "4th of July" rafts. We even grabbed Bella and took her in the pool with us. She was a little unsure of the water, but since it was so hot outside, she liked cooling off on the steps. We ended the night watching fireworks on Eric's roof. It was scary getting up there but the view was pretty cool. It was a great 4th of July...I can't believe its already come and gone. Hope everyone had a good 4th.

Not so little anymore...

Yesterday afternoon at 5:00pm, my "little" brother Jason graduated from Tesoro high school. It was a very surreal moment for me...not only was my youngest brother graduating high school, but I was having flashbacks of when I graduated high school 7 years ago! I kept getting chills just thinking of how excited he must be and how much he has to look forward to. Although it was super hot at the stadium, it was neat to watch him walk up on the stage and get his diploma. For those of you who have known me and my family for a long time, you would remember Jason as the little kid running around in diapers. He was always trying to hang out with his big brother and sister. Now he is over 6'3'' and by no means my "little" brother. He is a young man! When you're young, you don't appreciate your siblings and you definately take their presence for granted. Now that I am older, I appreciate both of my brothers and I value our relationships so much more! Not only are they my brothers, but my closest friends. Jason also turns 18 next Friday. So happy birthday J ! I love you and I'm so proud of you!

On May 3rd, we got to be a part of Denise and Davids wedding at the Reef in Long Beach. They were a really fun couple to work with. From the moment I met them, they had me laughing. We had a lot of fun coordinating their wedding. Their guests were great too. Their colors were black, white and red. Denise had a lot of really cute details...from the candy bar to the little "bride and groom" hand made guest favors. You could tell she really put a lot of thought into this day. They also had a huge wedding party! They were really easy to work with and their 2 ring bearers and 2 flower girls were absolutely adorable together. The wonderful pictures were taken by Harvard Photography. The beautiful black and white cake was made by one of our favorites, Roosmoor Pastries. Watching them dance at the end of the night was the best! Denise and David - we wish you all the best. Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!

Last night I invited 7 girls to dinner at Javiers...(Sara couldn't make it considering she lives in Georgia). I waited until we all ordered and then handed each of them a hand made card asking them to be a bridesmaid in my wedding. Of course, they all said yes! We spent the rest of the night having drinks and talking about wedding stuff! It was a lot of fun getting all the girls together. We didnt take too many pictures because we felt bad for the people behind us getting blinded by all the flashes. I'm sure there will be many more pictures of the 8 of us in the future! Sunday afternoon, Andrew had a basketball game in RSM. My friend Kristy's husband JJ, plays on Andrew's team. So Kristy and I usually get to hang out during the game with Braylon. When I showed up to the game yesterday, I noticed Braylon and I were twins! We were both repping the Lakers with our old school jerseys..I was wearing Kobe Bryant's #8 and Braylon was rocking Shaquille Oneil's #34. He looked much cuter than I did in his jersey. Too bad the Lakers couldnt pull off the win last night. Hopefully they will have better luck at home.

Jana's Wine and Cheese Party

Saturday night our good friend's Jana and Brian had a Wine and Cheese party at their house. I had originally planned on showing up around 7:30pm with Andrew but somehow got talked in to going over there at 1:00 to help bake all day. We made a bunch of yummy stuff! I made a Pinecone cheese Spread (cheese spread with almonds) which turned out pretty cool. I also made a dessert, a cheese/veggie platter and a tomato basil cheese dip. I must say...I felt a little like Betty Crocker! The party was really fun. We got to hang out with some co-workers and some of Jana's family. Yes...that is a glass of wine in my hand...I did drink a little bit since that was the theme of the night. However, I still don't particularly like the stuff! Maybe one day I'll acquire a taste for it. :) Until then, Ill stick to my regular party drink...diet coke!

It was my best friend Erin's birthday this past weekend - she turned 25! She is one of the most important people in my life and I have known her now for over 14 years. We have so many fun memories together and I love her to pieces. The party was a lot of fun. Her boyfriend Robert, got her a cake that couldn't have been more perfect! He got a picture blown up of her when we were in 7th grade. We used to take "modeling" pictures in her room. This particular picture was taken by me sometime in 1996. She was a little embarassed but we all thought it was hilarious!

Our other best friend Sara - who moved out to Georgia about a year and a half ago, came out to surprise Erin for her birthday! I hadn't seen her since she left so needless to say - it was a visit that was long overdue! We were so excited to see her. I have really missed her over the past year. We got to spend some time together at Erin's party Friday night. It was a fun couple of hours - but not long enough. Sara had to fly back home Sunday afternoon so I won't get to see her again until next year when she flys out to be in my wedding. I wish we could have hung out longer. Love you Sara...xoxo

A day at the pool...

Yesterday, my good friend Kristy and her little boy Braylon came over to my new apartment. It was a beautiful day out so we went and hung out at the pool. Our pool is amazing! There was hardly anyone there so it was nice to be able to hang out, just the three of us. Braylon was so cute in the pool. He loved being in the water with his mommy. We chased him around the pool as he tried to climb up stairs and play on the loungechairs. Of course Kristy and I wanted to lay out and get a tan - but Braylon wanted to do anything but relax. Go figure! After about an hour or so, he started to get super cranky! But luckily, we managed to get some adorable pictures before we had to call it a day! I love spending time with them...Braylon is so fun to play with! Oh and Kristy - your fun to hang out with too! :)

Calvin + Laura = Married

About a year ago, I was sitting at my desk at work when a co-worker of mine approached me about of friend of his who had just gotten engaged. He knew I was a wedding coordinator so he asked if he could pass along my information to her. Well, sure enough, his friend Laura emailed me a few days later requesting to meet us to discuss the possibility of coordinating her March 2008 wedding. Fast forward about 11 months later to Friday March 28, 2008. The day had come so quickly! I couldn't believe that their wedding day had arrived. The wedding was held in San Juan Capistrano at Rancho Capistrano. The weather couldn't have been better that day. It was an outdoor ceremony and reception. We spent a few hours hanging white lights, placing the favors, and setting up the seating charts. Everything was so beautiful. Laura and Calvin picked out great Spring colors. They chose Rainbows as their florist...as you can tell from the pictures above, the flowers were beautiful. The cake was made by Heidelberg Pastry Shop - I personally had a slice and it was yummy! Their DJ was a favorite of ours, Danny with NYC DJ's. Their photographers were Daniel and Reta Treat with Verge Photography who were friends of Laura and Calvins from Colorado. Their pictures were amazing. All in all, I'm so glad to have been given the privledge to be a part of their special day. They were an amazing couple to work with and we wish them all the best!

Tonight I got to spend some time with Kristy, JJ and their adorable son Braylon. Kristy and I have been friends since High School. Its so neat to see her as a mom. We got to hang out at their new apartment in Rancho Santa Margarita. I love playing with Braylon...he has the cutest facial expressions which are evident in the pictures above. Hearing him laugh is the best! It was hard to get pictures at first because every time the red light on my camera would come on he would stop smiling and make a weird face into the camera. I think we snapped about 25 pictures of him staring at me until we finally got him to crack! We had the best time just taking pictures of him.

Saturday April 19th is a day I will never forget. The day started off with Andrew and I looking at apartments in Irvine. On our way to the apartments, Andrew said that he needed my help in showing him what kind of engagement ring I wanted because he realized picking one out was harder than he thought. I was so happy to hear that because for the longest time, he would refuse to go look at rings with me because he wanted to do it all by himself. So we decided that next weekend, we would go look at some rings. After looking at some apartments, we went to pick up Bagels and Brew to take with us to lake Mission Viejo, where we were supposed to meet Erin (Andrew's sister), her husband Jeff and their two kids, Landon and Avery. We were planning to rent a party boat for a couple of hours with the four of them. Well, as we pulled up to the parking lot of the lake, Erin called me and said that unfortunately, Landon has just thrown up and they are heading back home. But she said that her and Avery still wanted to go on the boat and that we should go ahead without them and they would call me in 30 minutes when they were ready to meet up. Well, 30 minutes went by and she still hadn't called. So in the meantime, Andrew and I were cruising around the lake on the party boat, just the two of us. He had me come sit on his lap and said that he had a confession to make. He said "I have already done some ring shopping." I was staring straight out to the lake and was completely oblivious to the fact the he had pulled out a box with a ring and was holding it right in front of me. When I finally looked down, I think I almost fell off of his lap. He said "I love you and I want to know if you will marry me?" I immediately started crying and said "Are you kidding me?" I think I said that about 5 times before I finally looked at him and said yes! It was perfect and I can't describe how happy I was at that moment in time. We headed back to his house so he could change his clothes and then he said we should go by my parents house. Well, little did I know he had another surprise up his sleeve. When I opened the front door to my parents house, I saw about 40 of my closest friends and family in my living room. Of course, I started crying again. I was blown away that Andrew had thought to invite everyone over to congratulate us on our engagement. I couldn't have been happier to see everyone. The rest of Saturday was a blur to me but I will forever remember this day as one of the happiest in my life. I can't wait to start planning our wedding and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us for our future together. I love you Andrew and I can't wait until the day I am officially Mrs. Conners!!!

So I'm sitting at my desk at work...doing anything but work because its Friday...when I get this email from my co-worker, but more importantly, one of my best friends, Gigi. She and her boyfriend had some professional pictures taken of the two of them a few weeks ago and she just got the pictures back. They were taken by Ryel Hendricksen, a close friend of theirs. I can't get over how adorable these pictures are. I also can't tell you how happy I am for Gigi that she has found her perfect match! One of my best friend's Kristen and her boyfriend Morgan just got a new puppy on Friday night. She is a miniature golden-doodle...which is a mix of golden retriever and poodle! They named her Molly. Andrew and I went to see her on Saturday night. She was so playful and full of energy (even though she had so many visitors all day Saturday). I took these pictures of her and just had to post them cause they are so darn cute! Andrew and I can't wait to get a puppy of our own so she can have a buddy! Let's just hope its sooner than later.

Nick + Rina = Best First Dance

I know this posting is coming a little late but I just had to show everyone. Last year on July 7th, 2007, we had the privledge of coordinating Nick and Rina's wedding. It was the most popular day of the year to get married because it was 7/7/07. The wedding was beautiful. It was held at the Anaheim Sheraton near Disneyland. The ceremony was held outside in the courtyard and we couldn't have had better weather. Jasmine Star was the photographer and she was amazing...to say the least! I absolutely love her work! To our surprise, as well as all the guests, Nick and Rina did a suprise first dance where they blew everyone away with their dance moves. You have to check out the video on You tube. It seems to be a trend now as more and more couples are doing this as their first dance. I say...if you can muster up the courage to do something like this, go for it! The guests will love it! We sure did.

Caroline + Paul = Married

Over the weekend of March 15th, Michelle and I got to coordinate Caroline and Paul's wedding at the Mission Hills Country Club in Palm Springs. Although it was really windy, it was a beautiful day on the golf course. The ceremony took place right on the edge of the green overlooking the lake. Everything came together perfectly. Caroline looked so beautiful and her dress was amazing. They were an adorable couple as you can see from their pictures above. Trista Lerit was the photographer and she did an amazing job. I love her style and I can't wait to see how the rest of the pictures turned out. We also got to work with Danny with NYC Djs who did a great job. All in all, the wedding turned out perfect and it was a honor to be part of Caroline and Paul's special day. We wish them all the best!

As usual, I did some shopping in Vegas this past weekend. I was in one of my favorite stores... David and Goliath. They have the funniest stuff there! They have t-shirts, stickers, pajamas, kids clothes and a bunch of other things. I was looking in the little kids section (because everyone knows I can't stay away from that stuff) and I came across this shirt. I decided that I needed to buy it for Braylon. Braylon is my good friend Kristy's little boy. He's in Iceland right now with his mommy and daddy. I cant wait until they come back so I can give this to him. He's going to look so stinkin cute in it! Hurry and come home Solas!!! We miss you.

Cresa Vegas Trip 2008

So we're back from Vegas and we had a blast!!! The trip was awesome. We stayed at the Palazzo...which is an amazing hotel. The rooms were huge and there were three tvs. We ate dinner at Aquanox which was really good. Then we took a limo bus to the Playboy tower at the Palms. We had VIP passes to the Playboy lounge and Moon (the club upstairs). Our CEO got us three tables with bottle service...so needless to say...we all got pretty drunk! It was a blast hanging out with everyone. We took some great pics...only some are posted above. I'm grateful to work for a company who takes us on such great trips. We are looking forward to Cresa Vegas Trip 2009.

Vegas Here We Come!

So it's that time again...the annual CresaPartners company trip to Vegas! I can't believe it's already been a year since our last company trip. (Pics above are from last year's trip) We are staying at the new hotel, the Palazzo, which is supposed to be awesome. I'm really excited! Its always nice to have a paid trip to Vegas. We are flying out tomorrow morning at 11:15am. It will be nice to fly for a change since usually we have to drive. I'm looking forward to some good food, some shopping and some serious partying! Vegas here we come!

I was at my parent's house today and I was going through a bunch of old pictures. I came across one of my favorites from when I was a baby. My mom is 27 in this picture. It's crazy how much I look like her when she was younger. It's also amazing to think that I will soon be starting a family of my own. I can only hope my daughter and I have as good of a relationship as my mom and I do. This picture says it all....Love you mom!

Baby Sola Number Two!

I just found out that my good friend Kristy Sola and her husband JJ are expecting their second child. I am so excited for them! Their son Braylon is the cutest little boy ever. Just look at him in that penguin suit! Its been so fun watching him grow up...when he's not too busy traveling the world with his mommy and daddy (they are currently in Iceland). I can't wait to see what the second one will look like. Let's hope it's a little girl! Congrats you guys... I can't wait for Baby Sola Number Two! Love you both...

I have been given the privilege of planning my good friend Kelsey's wedding. Her and her fiance Colby, are such an adoreable couple. I met Kels at work and we have been friends for over a year now. The Frauman Girls

We spent last Tuesday night hanging out with our good friends...The Frauman's. They have two little girls, Brittany and Natalie. They are so cute. Usually Natalie runs around the house dumping her toys out everywhere and bouncing around the house. However, this was the first night in a long time where she was calm. Her little sister Brittany, who is now 6 months old, is getting so big. We hadn't seen her since she was 2 months old so it was neat to see her sitting up and smiling at me. She has the craziest hair I've ever seen on a little girl. We had so much fun hanging out with them. I can't wait til I have kids of my own so they can play together. Or maybe by then...they can babysit :) lol.

I'm Back!!!

Okay...so I know it's been forever since I last posted on here. I hung out with a good friend of mine tonight, Mrs. Kristy Sola, who convinced me that I need to get back into blogging. So here I am trying to recap on the past 5 months since my last post. I guess I will leave off with the past two weeks. Christmas was a lot of fun this year. We had our work Christmas party at Morton's Steakhouse which was a blast. We got to share a table with my roomie/work buddy Gigi and her boyfriend Josh. I took home a laptop as my gift which was awesome!

We got to spend Christmas Eve with Andrew's family and then Christmas day with mine. I also got to spend a lot of time with my girlfriends including Kristy and her little guy, Braylon. We took some great pictures over the holiday break. Some of which are posted above. We also took a trip to Vegas with Kristen and Morgan. Andrew won $850 on a single hand of video poker which was awesome!! Vegas is always a good time, especially when we go with such great friends.

All in all, 2007 was a great year. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and a great family. I look forward to a great 2008. Happy New Year everyone!

Our 4 Year Anniversary

June 23rd was also mine and Andrew's 4 year anniversary. I can't believe that its already been 4 years. Andrew took me to the Ritz Carlton where we spent a night there. The hotel was so beautiful and the weather was perfect. We went to dinner that night at Las Brisas in Laguna where we saw Kobe Bryant!! I was so bummed I didnt get a picture or an autograph...but it was still awesome to see him up close! The next morning we played tennis at the Ritz which is something we dont get to do very often. Then we headed to Treasure Island beach at the Montage - if you havent been there, its the best beach in Laguna! We felt like we were on vacation in Hawaii. Anyways, the weather was perfect and we enjoyed spending the whole day together. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful boyfriend and I look forward to spending another great year together.

Andrew's 24th Birthday

Saturday June 23rd was Andrew's 24th birthday. I decided to surprise him by planning a trip to LA with some friends. We all stayed at the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood which was awesome. We had dinner at Dominicks, a restaurant owned by Andrew's cousin Warner. Everything turned out great! Andrew was really suprised... especially when his sister and her husband showed up at dinner. He had no idea I had invited them. We all went out that night to LAX - a newer club in West Hollywood. We had an awesome time and everyone got tipsy...Needless to say, Andrew had a blast and the night was a total success. I was proud of myself for putting it all together and keeping it a suprise! It was a lot of work but he's worth it! :)
